This was Laura at 13, the last picture of her at boarding school before she left in 1994. So young yet so grown up. She has always been more sensible and reliable than most girls of her age, an old head on young shoulders, but at the same time so gullible and naive. Mike teased her something rotten and she would look to me to see if he was being serious or just having her on again. If he told her that sausages grew on trees she would have believed him, thankfully she has learnt not to trust everything people say now.
